In May 2018 the 20:55 Club visited the Strathspey Railway, Aviemore, to inspect progress of the restoration of 45025, the engine that hauled the last steam powered Belfast Boat Express 40 years previously. We rented a house in Newtonmore and had a very enjoyable three days. The staff at Aviemore shed hauled the engine outside specially for us.
